The Buffalo Sabres will be at home tonight for their second preseason game. Only one member of the squad that downed the Minnesota Wild on Monday will be in the lineup--D, Brendan Guhle. Here was the line up for that game:
Matt Moulson, Jack Eichel, Zemgus Girgensons
Marcus Foligno, Johan Larsson, Nic Deslauriers
William Carrier, Phil Varone, Justin Bailey
Jean Dupuy, Matt Ellis, Vaclav Karabacek
Mike Weber, Cody Franson
Brendan Guhle, Mark Pysyk
Jake McCabe, Brady Austin
Tonight's lineup (via WGR's Paul Hamilton):
Evander Kane, Ryan O'Reilly, Tyler Ennis
Jamie McGinn, Sam Reinhart, Brian Gionta
Jerry D'Amigo, Eric Cornel, Nicholas Baptiste
Evan Rodrigues, David Legwand, Jason Akeson
Guhle, Josh Gorges,
Carlo Colaiacovo, Chad Ruhwedel
Jerome Leduc, Matt Donovan
Former Ottawa Senator Robin Lehner puts on the Blue and Gold for the first time to face his former team while Andrey Makarov backs him up in net.
After a severe case of jitters, Guhle settled down against Minnesota thanks in no small part to his d-partner, Mark Pysyk. There will be plenty of intrigue surrounding the 18 yr. old as some believe that he could actually play in the NHL this season. I wouldn't bet the farm on it but he's made such a strong impression thus far--from the NHL Scouting Combine 'til now--that this could very well be his last year in junior.
The line of Kane, O'Reilly and Ennis have been strong in training camp and this is their first go at a another team. They were said to have looked like a trio that had been together for years and it will be interesting to see what they can accomplish in live action.
Plenty of eyes will also be focused upon Reinhart, the second overall pick in 2014. Last year he had trouble at the NHL-level because he just wasn't strong enough. Reinhart worked extremely hard from the time he was sent down to Kootenay last year and all through camp. He'll have plenty of help on the wings with the veteran presence of McGinn and Gionta.
Although he's buried on a lower line, I'm interested to see if Rodrigues can find that open ice and use his quick, accurate shot.
Game time is 7:00pm.

Personally, I always liked The Proclaimers, I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) and thought that the "Ba-da-da-Da" part would be pretty cool.
Fade in the stomping beat.
"Da da lun didi lum diddy lum da da"
Repeat until puck drop.
Maybe I'm just old.
